VEGAS RAIDER SHINES AT THE TRIALS

Debutant VEGAS RAIDER has earned a tilt at next Friday's $200,000 Inglis 2YO Challenge (1100m) on Scone Cup Day after impressing at the Rosehill barrier trials this morning.

Following an educational debut two weeks ago, the David Pfieffer trained 2YO stepped out at Rosehill for his second official trial this morning and the colt was ultra impressive in winning his heat by two lengths under Jason Collett.

The son of exciting first season sire INVADER, who was a $38,000 Inglis purchase in partnership with trainer David Pfieffer, was too keen at Warwick Farm in his first hitout but relaxed beautifully in the 2YO Colts & Geldings heat.

Despite going slightly wide coming round the bend, he knuckled down to his work in the home straight and surged past his fellow trialists under hands and heels, with the firmer surface clearly much more to his liking.

Pfieffer has identified next Friday’s $200,000 Inglis 2YO Challenge (1100m) on Scone Cup Day as VEGAS RAIDER’s first career assignment, an exciting prospect for his group of owners.

The performance has given us all the more reason to be excited about another INVADER colt we purchased in partnership with Pfieffer at the Inglis Classic Sale earlier this year.
