After tuning up with two trials, PAR UN NEZ will get his first taste of competitive action when he heads to the Sunshine Coast on Sunday.
The son of leading sire Written Tycoon has impressed in both his recent hit-outs, giving Toby and Trent Edmonds the belief that he’s ready to test himself in the heat of battle.
With experienced jockey Andrew Mallyon taking the reins and a favourable draw from barrier seven, PAR UN NEZ looks well placed to give a good account of himself in the Maiden Handicap (1200m).
“He hasn’t gone backwards since his trial, and he had a good sharp gallop in company on Tuesday morning to bring him on for this race,” said Trent.
“Needless to say, the race experience will help improve his manners so he’ll be better next time, but having said that we’re still expecting him to run a nice race on Sunday.”
Here’s hoping Francophile PAR UN NEZ can win ‘by a nose’, best of luck to our partners.
