RAIDER PERFORMS AT TRIALS

Updated: Feb 13, 2023

Inglis 2YO Challenge winner VEGAS RAIDER made an encouraging return from a spell at the Randwick barrier trials this morning.

The three-year-old gelding impressed trainer David Pfieffer in his first appearance since running at Flemington in the $150,000 Next Gen Sprinters Final in July at the end of his successful first racing campaign as a two-year-old.

The son of Invader showed he has returned in good order, settled back in the field for Jason Collett before working home strongly over the concluding stages of the 740m trial to finish fourth.

"He was good, his manners were better in the barriers and he jumped well," said Collett.

"I held him together and gave him a bit of room in the straight and he finished off nicely."

Stay tuned for more news on what's in store for VEGAS RAIDER this preparation.
