Despite not being fully wound up, KOBESTAR hit the line very nicely under in-form apprentice jockey Brock Ryan to collect a handy cheque for $6,000.
It was KOBESTAR’s first run over 1000m and given he will be better suited as he steps up in distance (his maiden win was over a mile at Kembla Grange), it was very pleasing to see him hold his own at the shorter trip.
