KING KAPA GOES IN SEARCH OF SUNSHINE

With Sydney’s big wet showing no signs of stopping over the past week, trainer Joe Pride opted to pull the pin on the stable’s provisional plans to run King Kapa in the hope of finding a drier surface next week.

The King held nominations for both Kembla and Canterbury earlier this week, but due to the heavy conditions at both venues the stable preferred to keep our boy ticking over at home with a view to unleashing him in the coming days.

He has been nominated for a Class 1 Handicap at Wyong next Thursday.

A firmer deck is likely to bring out the best in the son of Capitalist, who burst onto the scene with a dazzling debut win last year.

We’ll be on weather watch over the weekend and hopefully the wait will be worth it for our partners.
