The ultra-consistent VAPROZING took the first steps toward his upcoming return to the races with a strong jump out at Doomben this week.
The Tony Gollan trained galloper worked home nicely in his 1000m jump out to finish second with petrol left in the tank, pleasing his trainer ahead of his second planned trial in a fortnight's time.
"He's come back really well this horse and has got good improvement in him," said Gollan.
"They went along at very steady tempo which is not really to his liking, so he got a little bit keen.
"But he got through the line nicely and finished right there with them."
Early signs suggest it will be another fruitful campaign for VAPORIZING, who has finished inside the top five placings at his past nine starts.
