SUNSET SOIREE GOES TO TOWN

SUNSET SOIREE gets her chance on the big stage of a Saturday metropolitan race when she competes for a share of $85,000 in prizemoney at Eagle Farm tomorrow.

After winning last start at the Sunshine Coast, our promising filly's race record stands at an impressive two wins and a placing from her first three starts.

On the back of these performances trainer Tony Gollan believes she’s earned her chance to step up in grade and distance to the 1600m.

“Did I think we’d be getting out to the mile this prep? No I didn’t, but the way she’s racing and the way these races present, I’m certainly happy to have a go at it here,” said Gollan.

“I think she’ll race well, she’ll enjoy the tempo of the mile…then it’ll be a matter of whether she can finish off and get the distance.

"She is going well, she looks terrific and she’s found a very winnable three-year-old race. This is a really good race for her to have a crack at on a Saturday."

Our girl has drawn an awkward barrier, but she does get in well with the weights at 53.5kg and the big Eagle Farm track should suit as we know she appreciated the wide open spaces at the Sunshine Coast.

Having taken the reins for our girls first ever win, hoop Kyle Wilson-Taylor climbs back on board and we hope they maintain their winning combination!

Good luck to connections!
