Whilst the eyes of the racing world will be focused on Flemington on Melbourne Cup Day, our partners will be celebrating the day on the Gold Coast where will have two runners lining up.
COOL INTELLIGENCE (pictured) is set to make the first appearance of her summer prep in a Fillies and Mares Benchmark 58 Handicap (1100m) following on from a pleasing jump out on her home track on Tuesday morning.
Meanwhile, Edmonds racing gelding PAR UN NEZ is entered for the Maiden Handicap over 1200m in what will mark his second career start.
Trainer Tom Button said COOL INTELLIGENCE's jump out this week had convinced him she was ready to return to the races.
“She put herself up on speed and had a nice cruisy time of it in the jumpout, she could’ve finished closer to the leaders but we didn’t want to push her too much,” said Button.
“As long as everything goes right, she’ll head to the Gold Coast next Tuesday. Her coat has come on nicely and she’s starting to get fitter and stronger, so we think she’s ready to get back to the races.”
We wish the best of luck to our partners on Cup Day!
