EXTREME FREEDOM bounced back to form in some style thanks to a bold front-running ride by Brock Ryan.
Having finished second on debut at Hawkesbury in May 2022, EXTREME FREEDOM again showed his liking for the track as he registered a second career win and his first since returning from a wind operation.
After blowing out the cobwebs on his resumption at Kembla Grange last month, the son of Turn Me Loose showed sharp improvement at the second start of his campaign in Saturday’s Colts, Geldings and Entires Class 1 Handicap (1300m).
Ryan took the 4YO straight to the front from the gates, and the pair never saw another rival as they clung on for a courageous victory by a length.
“It was a good solid win,” said Ryan.
“He was pretty fresh today, and I gave him a good dig out of the barriers. But we managed to get him into a good flowing rhythm, and he bowled along at a pretty solid gallop.
“He probably floated a little the last 100 metres, but he toughed it out and it was great to see the horse bounce back.”
