RUBY PROVES TOO SPEEDY AT SUNNY COAST

Speedy mare RELIABLE RUBY pinned her ears back as she powered home to her third career victory at the Sunshine Coast on Sunday.

With in-form jockey James Orman in the saddle for the first time, the five-year-old mare put a string of bad luck behind her to score a well deserved win as she took her prizemoney earnings past the $80,000 mark.

The victory continued RELIABLE RUBY'S liking for the spacious Sunshine Coast track, having now recorded two wins and a second from four trips to Corbould Park.

Trainer Chris Munce said having three weeks between runs had proved the key to getting the daughter of Reliable Man back into the winner's circle and would again be the recipe heading into her next race start.

"She seems to be appreciating having her races spaced a little bit, that's how she performs best for us," said Munce.

"So we'll do the same, she can just have a few light days now and we'll space her runs with three or four weeks in between."

Congratulations to her ownership group: Strong Bloodstock, Mr D P Gilmore, Mr S A Gilmore, Mr D James, Mr J Vearing, Mr M J Hutchinson, Shouldwegeta, Mr N J austin, Mr S M Campbell, Rubble Bubble, K C M B, Mr A M Campbell, Mr B R Matthews, Mr D K Geeves, Mr A D Taylor, Nutsy Investments, Mr D M Carmody.
