RUBY REAPS SUNNY COAST SPOILS AGAIN

RELIABLE RUBY scored her second straight win at the Sunshine Coast and in the process took her career earnings to the brink of $100,000.

The in-form mare benefitted from a freshen-up following her previous victory at the Sunny Coast in April, and struck again at the same venue thanks to a super steer by Damien Thornton.

Trainer Chris Munce is keen to space out RELIABLE RUBY’s runs, and the plan worked to perfection as she scored her fourth win in Sunday’s Class 5 Handicap (1000m).

After peeling her to the outside, Thornton pressed the button on the daughter of Reliable Man and she responded in some style to score by a length.

“I thought it was one of her best efforts,” said Munce.

“It was a very good ride by Damien, she sat off them and then really let down well. She’s pulled up really well from the run, so we’ll do our usual routine with her and give her a few easy days to recover.

“She’s been racing very consistently with some space between her runs, it was a very tough win and I’m proud of her effort.”

Congrats to our partners in this girl, who cost $35,000 and has now earned $97,970.
