Lightly raced mare RELIABLE RUBY is set to kick off her Spring preparation for trainer Chris Munce after impressing in a Doomben barrier trial on Tuesday.
The debut winner stepped out for her second barrier trial this preparation earlier this week and worked home nicely under the urgings of experienced hoop Larry Cassidy to finish second.
The performance was enough to convince us she is ready to return to the races and Munce has nominated her a Class 1 Plate at Doomben on Wednesday.
