Promising filly SUNSET SOIREE has headed to the paddock for a well earned rest after doing everything asked of her and more in her first preparation under trainer Tony Gollan.
With two wins and two placings from four starts in her first racing preparation, the Deep Field filly heads to the paddock on a high.
After stepping up to Saturday metropolitan racing and out to the mile for the first time last Saturday, our girl continued to demonstrate her ability, relaxing in the run before hitting the line hard to finish third at Eagle Farm.
“It was a terrific run on Saturday. She’s really gone well this filly in the preparation, she’s really done a whole lot more right than wrong that’s for sure and she’s come an awfully long way,” Gollan said.
“It's now time to let her have a nice break then come back, let her work through the grades, she’s the right sort of filly to do that.
"I think we’re going to have a lot of fun with her over the next two or three seasons, I think there’s only a whole lot of upside for her next prep…I think we all can really look forward to her second preparation of racing."
It has been a rewarding preparation for our partners, with our filly already collecting over $40,000 in prizemoney so it’s exciting to think what she may produce in the future.
