After coming through two recent trials JETTY is heading back to the races tomorrow, where he will bid to build on a super summer campaign and score a third career win.
JETTY will take a 100 per cent home track record into the QTIS Three-Year-Old Handicap (1200m), having won on debut at his one and only start at the Gold Coast.
Our boy will carry the topweight of 59kg in a small but competitive field, and will be ridden for the first time by last season's premier apprentice Baylee Nothdurft.
The pair will jump from barrier six and while the son of Jet Spur is likely going to need a little further to show his best, the team at Edmonds Racing are still confident he is forward enough to make his presence felt.
“He’s come up nicely,” said Toby Edmonds.
“He’ll improve on whatever he does this weekend, but he’s heading to the races off the back of a couple of nice trials and he’s in good order, so we’re really happy with him.”
This boy has been a real money-spinner for our partners, with more than $150,000 already in the bank thanks to two wins and four minor placings from nine career starts. The plan is to step him up in trip this prep, and tomorrow’s race looks like a nice way to kick off his Winter campaign.
We wish our partners the best of luck.
