KOBESTAR will tackle 1850m for the first time in his career when he heads to Newcastle tomorrow.
Heading back to the races with renewed confidence after a pleasing third at Kensington last start on Anzac Day, KOBESTAR will be partnered by a new jockey in Alysha Collett.
Interestingly, Jason Collett rode KOBESTAR in his very first race back in March 2020, and on his 13th career start younger sister Alysha will take the reins in the Benchmark 64 Handicap, where she will need a touch of magic from the outside barrier.
BALLER’S baby brother closed very strongly under Rachel King in the 1550m contest last start, and the extra 300m in tomorrow’s race should work in his favour.
