KING KAPA made it two from two this preparation since returning to Queensland with a dominant victory at Eagle Farm on Wednesday.
Under new trainer Tony Gollan, KING KAPA again proved too strong for rivals despite carrying the top weight of 60.5kg. Gollan believes a Class 3 Saturday Metro race at Doomben on January 21 and an increase in distance from the 1000m will be the next step for our boy. “He’s a nice horse, we'll just put him through his grades and try and keep him winning,” said Gollan. Gollan also paid tribute to experienced jockey Ryan Maloney, who has ridden the chestnut in his consecutive victories. Excitingly for connections, Gollan forecasts KING KAPA will only continue to improve over each preparation. But for now, long live the King! Congratulations to all our Partners!
