NORTHERN ADVENTURE CONTINUES FOR COOL INTELLIGENCE

Updated: Jun 17, 2021

COOL INTELLIGENCE’s extended stay in northern Queensland will continue tomorrow when she lines up in the Class 2 Handicap at Townsville.

The 3YO filly has been soaking up the sun at trainer Tom Button’s Townville stables, and will make the short journey over the road to tackle the 1400m contest.

In what looks a wide open race, COOL INTELLIGENCE has been assigned barrier eight (before scratchings) and will be partnered by Elyce Smith.

On paper her run in the Northern Jewel at Mackay was perhaps a touch disappointing, but she only finished three-and-half lengths behind the winner in what was a very competitive contest.

COOL INTELLIGENCE looks ready to step up in trip so the extra 100m should suit, and Tom is confident the bigger track at Townsville will also suit her racing style better than the tight turns at Mackay.

We wish our partners all the best with our northern raider tomorrow.
