BINDI BOLTS IN TO BREAK MAIDEN

Bargain buy BINDI’S CHOICE made a mess of her rivals to break her maiden in style at Kembla Grange yesterday as our winning start to 2023 continued.

Following an encouraging debut at Warwick Farm and an eye-catching third over 1200m at Kembla last start, the David Pfieffer trained filly returned to the same track and trip at start number three and promptly bolted in by four-and-a-half lengths.

With Jay Ford again in the saddle, BINDI’S CHOICE broke cleanly from the gates and settled in an ideal position behind the leading pair.

After Ford had pulled her to the outside to give her clear running room, the filly let down very impressively to streak clear of her challengers and collect a cheque for $26,625.

It was an impressive performance from the daughter of Denman, who we purchased for just $35,000 at the 2021 Inglis May Yearling Sale in partnership with Pfieffer Racing.

Congratulations to them and fellow owners: Mr R J Hansford, Anton Koolman Bloodstock Pty Ltd, Mr J McPhillips, Mr R Cutrie, Miss O J Lowe, Ms S Kemister, K C M B, Mr L Mannion, Mr T l Triffitt, Mrs S Walkden, Mr P Walkden and Mr P Code.
