BAKUHATSU will bring the curtain down for Strong Bloodstock's weekend runners on Sunday when he tackles the QTIS 3YO Maiden Plate (1100m) at Gatton.
The speedy son of Spirit of Boom has been impressive in the first two starts of his career, running third last time at the Sunshine Coast and finishing just over a length behind the winner on debut at Ipswich.
He will be ridden by apprentice jockey Zac Lloyd for Sunday’s assignment, and trainer Toby Edmonds is expecting another pleasing performance from our boy.
“He looks great and has done well between runs, so we’re looking forward to the third run of his prep on Sunday,” said Toby.
“He galloped quite sharply in his final piece of work this week, he can still be quite aggressive at times but he’s becoming more manageable now, which is obviously a good sign going forward.”
Hopefully BAKUHATSU can break through for his first win for our partners.
