BOSSED UP made a slick return to the races when he flew fresh at the Sunshine Coast on Sunday.
At his first start since being gelded, the 3YO kicked off his second racing campaign in style by winning the Benchmark 62 Handicap under James Orman in an eye-catching time (57.45).
The pair jumped smartly from the gates and settled just off the speed in the early part of the 1000m contest.
Having cruised into the lead, BOSSED UP was made to work hard in the straight for his second career win but ultimately prevailed by half a length.
“It was a really good win,” said Orman.
“We began well and managed to get some early cover. When we peeled off the favourite’s back, he was very strong to the line so it was a great return.”
