Tony Gollan

Trainer

Tony Gollan needs no introduction, the 11 time consecutive Queensland trainer of the year dominates the South East Queensland racing scene. Stabling himself at Eagle Farm since 2012 the continued rise of Gollan racing has also allowed him to travel horses to the southern states, winning multiple group races over the years.

Our horses fit his system perfectly, from early education right through to when they are ready to head to the races. Our most notable success with this stable is with King Kapa winning the Listed Hinkler on Stradbroke day 2023 whilst adding a further 5 wins to his career since joining the Gollan stable. Other notable success stories over the years in the Strong Bloodstock colours have been Sunset Soiree and Bossed Up. We have many young horses yet to hit the track so we look forward to the continued success and partnership with Tony and his team

David Pfieffer

Trainer

Dedicated yet unassuming, David Pfieffer's natural approach to horsemanship defies the current industry paradigm of powerhouse stables with incessant production lines of horseflesh at their disposal. Instead, he works closely with each horse with an eye for detail that keeps him in esteemed company within Sydney's training ranks.

It's a proven formula as his success of late proudly demonstates the twenty plus years of experience with thoroughbreds he accumulated whilst working with the likes of Rod Craig, Joe Pride, Graeme Rogerson and following his close mentor and friend, the late Tony Wildman.

Working from the back of the horse to the front - from a 15yo stablehand to capable foreman, David now proudly calls forty boxes on Warwick Farm racecourse his own.

Robert and Luke Price

Robert Price – Having made his start in the racing world, riding track work in the early 1980’s under the tutelage of the legendary K.J. Robinson, he then had his first success as a trainer, in 1992, with a tried racehorse called “Phantom King”. From there he has gone from strength to strength winning numerous Metropolitan and stakes races up to the present day.

Luke Price started his racing career as a jockey. He was one of Sydney’s leading apprentices– riding in excess of 110 winners!  The riding career was cut short with a horror race fall and an increase in riding weight being a taller kid. From there Luke moved into training in his own right with a string of 3 horses at his father’s stables in Nowra in 2012.
With just three horses Luke managed to have a Group 1 Derby runner in his first season with “Man of Choice” At that time in a sport dominated by weight of numbers, the odds of him snaring a Derby horse were astronomical but it was testament to his ability as a young trainer!

Luke was stable foreman at Turpentine Park but he is now co-trainer with his father Rob. Luke and Rob personally ride the track work on the property and at the racetrack jump outs. It is this hands-on approach to training which gives the Price family their distinct edge in preparing thoroughbreds to race.
Now they have expanded their training operations to include on track stables at Kembla Grange to accommodate their ever increasing client base and keeping them competitive to all aspects of in the industry.
